Our two party system

I like our two party system and the changing of the guard cycle in congress.

This year was supposed to be the democrat’s year to shine, they could have gained three senate seats in Tennessee, Missouri and Virginia, but instead of focusing on those races they have decided to lynch Lieberman in Connecticut.

What kind of idiots made that decision, which makes me believe that maybe they don’t really want to win?

BTW Lieberman is winning in CT and the Dems are losing the above mentioned races.

Did Krauthammer read my post yesterday?

Charles Krauthammer seems to agree with me about the necessity of unleashing Japan.

I wrote it first!

Unleash Japan

Only after WWII did Japan cease to exist as a military world power. Prior to WWII, they kicked some Chinese ass during the Sino-Japanese War followed by some Russian ass kicking during the Russo-Japanese war.

I forgot to mention that they occupied Korea and parts of China after the Sino-Japanese War.

Logically, the only solution to the Korean/China crisis is to unleash Japan.

Question

It has recently been discovered that marijuana-like compound may fight Alzheimer's.
If true, why do all pot smoking hippies experience memory loss?

Jackie Mason on speaking Spanish in the US

There may be those among you who support including Spanish in our
national language. I for one am 110% against this! We must preserve
the exclusivity and above all, the purity of the English language. To
all the shlemiels, shlemazels, nebbishes, nudniks, klutzes, putzes,
shlubs, shmoes, shmucks, nogoodniks, and momzers that are out there
pushing Spanish, I just want to say that I, for one, believe that
English and only English deserves linguistic prominence in our
American culture. To tell the truth, it makes me so farklempt, I'm
fit to plotz. This whole Spanish schmeer gets me broyges, specially
when I hear these erstwhile mavens and luftmenschen kvetching about
needing to learn Spanish. What chutzpah! These shmegeges can tout
their shlock about the cultural and linguistic diversity of our
country, but I, for one, am not buying their shtick. It's all so much
dreck, as far as I'm concerned. I exhort you all to be menshen about
this and stand up to their fardrayte arguments and meshugganah,
farshtunkene assertions. It wouldn't be kosher to do anything else.
Remember, when all is said and done, we have English and they've got
bubkes! The whole myseh is a pain in my tuchas!

The End of Europe (Part 2)

If you’re obsessed with thoughts of a nuclear Iran

You may want to read A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller.

Sitcom Writing

I’m in the process of completing my first sample sitcom for two and a half men.

A thought just crossed my mind, maybe I should write a sitcom about a bunch of congressmen living with their former pages?

In today’s world it seems like a bigger sell than some idiot going nuclear.

Don’t steal my idea.

Mel Gibson - Part 2

Actor Mel Gibson is speaking out for the first time about the anti-Semitic comments he made to police when they booked him for drunken driving last summer.

Blalalalalalaalalala

So, this is the last thing I want to be is that kind of monster," Gibson said.

I looked at the definition of monster (Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary):
"one who deviates from normal or acceptable behavior or character".

I think you’re a monster Mel.

Warren Buffett Doesn't Believe in Global Warming

Don't take my word for it, here is the WSJ:

Coastal homeowners will feel a lot safer if the next few weeks pass without a hurricane. A few bold investors could feel a lot richer.

A handful of reinsurance companies and hedge funds made substantial bets on the weather this year, collecting large premiums in exchange for covering potential disasters along the shore. With each calm day that passes, they are getting closer to securing hundreds of millions of dollars in gains.

Many insurers pared back their exposure after Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma last year, but this group waded into the market for reinsurance -- insurance that insurers buy for themselves to help pay large claims, thereby spreading some of the risk of their policies to others.

Among the big potential winners are two divisions of billionaire investor Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc., which used its deep pockets to sell coverage others couldn't or wouldn't issue because of fears that last summer's monster hurricanes were a taste of things to come.
